The site is located in a dense part of the city centre.

The project was a design challenge because of its tight urban site. The concept comprises modular units for each apartment that are arranged in a vertical configuration. The volumetric composition comprises three volumes with protruding balconies and stepped terraces, both opened and covered, transparent and semi transparent, full and semi covered.

There is a subtle playfulness between open and closed that provides optimal privacy between the apartments.

Using the Greek traditional element of ‘kioski’ (enclosed protruding balcony) with a modern interpretation, each apartment has its own distinct character which embraces the whole volume of the building. Arranged in a vertical configuration the first apartment has three floors , where the rest two have two floors each.

The circulation core is made by steel frame where the main entrance to the block is located and emphasized with its different materiality to the rest of the building.  The main modules are constructed by reinforced concrete and then coated with coloured plaster.

On the ground floor a grid of reinforced concrete columns that bears the structural load form a 'Pilotis', where is also used as a parking area.
